In youth's sweet blush, their love was caught,

A lens of time, where hearts were taught.

Her smile, his gaze, in frames so bright,

First months of marriage, pure delight.  

June 2nd, 1954, they vowed to stay,

Now seventy-one years mark this day.

Though he left in '91, September's sting,

Her heart still holds the love they’d sing.
