Railway Bridge
We crossed the station overpass at dusk,
your hand in mine, the trains below us sighing.
Your coat against the iron grey,
your laughter brighter than the signal lights.
That overpass knew every secret that we shared,
every silly song and future dream.
Now I climb it carrying you in my heart,
yet still I feel you walking next to me.
The rails remember. So do I.
