Not too sure
You and I were stories of which
I had no memory of at all,
So it had to be
Someone else and never really me,
As you claim it was.
Every breeze carries to my mind
The truth and I am captive in your eyes
Even as they wander.

Somewhere between the here and now
Lies a place forever,
Where I stand with you in the morning sun
Beside a waterfall
And watch the river flow gently to the sea.
To take you in the water,
While our sprits soar to mountain tops
To fly with eagles.
In love is an eternity that cannot be concealed,
But no matter what you say of it:
It’s only what you feel.
Paolo Driussi
You’re well dressed
After a long day.
You bring me close to your face,
Put your lips to me,
Clasp mine in between yours.
Tonight, you’re sad, lonely
Looking to unwind, let go.
Today’s been long, tiring,
You need a distraction,
Your hand trembles as you hold me,
But you won’t let go of me.
Paolo Driussi
To live is to love
And to love is to live
What would be life if there was no love to give?
I find this hard to believe
Even harder to say
But I find myself falling deeper in love with you
Each and every day
That’s really all I had to say,
But I hope that you’re having
A great Valentine’s Day.

Tonight we were rebellion.
It was just you and me
In this dizzy world of
Disco lights,
I knew that if I fell,
You would catch me,
And no matter how strong I felt,
You still pulled me in
And held me close,
Because tonight we didn't care
What others thought.
Tonight we were together.
Hands and hearts entwined
Like leaves on a bush.
Just for the night at least.

A young man being travelling under the wintry sky
The songs of a foreign world
Landing and kissing the lips
Of someone who was expecting nothing of this sort.
An idea.
Rare and complete,
In full bloom,
Premature.
For the bright days of spring have yet to gift this idea life
But it sticks still
Deep in the mind
Of the unwary young man.
An idea,
Individual and unique
Much like the snow that falls.
The stars whisper secrets of the universe
To comfort his premature feelings.
Ahead of his time,
Aged beyond years.
Catching snowflakes meant for someone else.
Paolo Driussi.
