 THE SKY OF PADUA

We are fingerpainting the sky of Padua.
White cotton words appear
From clouds passing by
While tiny violins spin in the air.
Doves coo their contentedness
Trailing off the pleasant breeze.

SPRING

It should have come in April,

Hadn't shown first week of May.

I waited through the winter,

Eagerly waiting for the day

when the sun would shine with vigor,

The rain would no longer fall.

Today the sun is shining and

Spring, at last, has come to call.

I welcomed you with open arms

And I threw some blossom in the air

A cheery bird song was heard.

New sights, new sounds, new pleasures

As all of Nature stirred.

 THANK YOU MOM

I am remembering
How she sent my ship of dreams
Sailing clear waters
And remembering
That loving smile each morning
Her outright courage
In face of straits
I was such a happy kid!
After all these years
Thank you Mom!

 I'LL BE

I'll be yours

I'll be your storm.

I'll be your fire.

I'll be your shadow.

I'll be your hope

When you're stranded at sea.

"What will you be to me?"

Paolo Driussi.

JUST HAVE A LITTLE FAITH

The voices in your head are not you,

Dive into the lake and let them drown.

I hope you find solace in nature

And release your fears and tears.

Not every season stays forever.

Every pain will become a beautiful lesson.

 LOVERS

Our love of old

Flourishes yet again

Like a peach in the swelter of summer,

Growing with every clicky-click of the rail.

The conductor calls last stop

Our eyes are lost in wonderment

And we are now as we were then

Lovers.

In The Middle Of The Night

Do you believe each glance is an invitation?

Once someone said I am complicated.
I had really wonderful things I wanted to express.

Embers from your cigarettes were burning like beacons
I couldn’t seem to sleep and
I didn’t like to think.

No one here does the grand revelation.
