Waiting for the van to come

What was pleasing now is almost fully gone
Man’s future makes a shadow of ages.
Various events till our joyful life
Dear faces vanished, ruins remained
No mercy express the daily old strife
The long for sunshine seams as mirage vain.
The fire devours fall’s color of trees
Hot summer with the red lips passed away,
North wind will bring a sense of cold kiss
Yesterday nice vision dwells in the soul.

A Couple More Days

Breathing the August Air
Red color spilled with light
Unforgetable memories shared
Encompassed by unending day.
Flawless though this place may seem
Relentless of the truth,
Imperfection, though minute, sometimes overlooked
Never understanding things that aren't there
Sunset will come, and soon you will see,
Simple, beautiful, fallen leaves.

A Natural Waltz

I could sense the feeling of calm inside me.
It swelled as the earth moved.
I danced as the soil grooved.
Nature and I, becoming one in a natural waltz,
Reunited despite our several faults.
My thoughts screamed in the quiet realm that was my mind.
I disappeared as I became lost in time.
No essence of mind, body, or soul,
Ghosts that whispered around me through the trees,
Nothing could touch me.I could fly
Higher and higher I flew, the clouds flying by.
This is the feeling that encompasses me as I lie beside nature,
One on one after so many years of departure.
The earth is our roots, and from earth we bear our fruits,
The fruits that grow and become our future, our hope.
My journey has ended, the knowledge on my face.

Chapters of life

Our lives are filled with so much pain
I often ponder why we are expected not to go insane
Life gets especially tough in places
Everyone you meet a smile seems to be on their faces
You sit and just glance around
True happiness it appears everyone else has found
And with that depressed look, you wonder why not me
But yet life is a game and parts of it we cannot see
So we sit and cry in our own sorrow
Not knowing what might come tomorrow
Our heads hung in shame
Looking for our fifteen minutes of fame
Then out of the blue
Without even one little clue
We suddenly realize
Our miracles were merely in disguise
We open the doors and let them into our hearts
These miracles are what makes up life's many parts
Whenever you're down and don't know where to look
Go back to that chapter in your own life's book.

Just a Memory

My mother died suddenly,
I didn't even get tell her goodbye
I didn't get to thank her for her many good deeds
And tender care of all of my needs
They came and took her away
Before my Dad and I could pray
And think of all the little things that I had wanted to say
It happened in early December
With sorrowful goodbyes from everyone she knew
She was laid to rest in a beautiful dress of satin
I still visit her often, although it's only in my mind
And recall wonderful memories of her,
You know the lasting kind.

Darkness

Now that everything is lost
I peril myself through an endless journey
To slay my immortal depression.
Yet I have eyes, ears, hands
And everything someone would want,
I have absolutely nothing.
Nightmares flow through my thoughts like fire.
Although they cannot harm
What's been destroyed
Or burn what's been blackened,
I am still disturbed.
I wonder what reality is
When that which is real seems so obscure,
Like a dream.
I am in an eternal sleep.
I am still, for I have nothing to do but be.
If I could ever wake up
It would be of no use,

For all I would see is darkness.

Easter Time is Here

Bunnies and butterflies
Chocolate eggs
Cute and sweet things
To soften our hearts
Rainbows and sunshine
With joy and laughter
Brightening our day in every hue
Of a promise thereafter
Warming our hearts too
Bringing cheer and celebration
Thoughtfulness and care
A time of remembrance
And gleeful jubilation
Spent with family and friends
Those who know us best and most
Sharing our love from within
When Easter Time is here!
